I have been interested in crafting since I was a little girl thumbing through a 1970’s craft book my aunt gave me. In high school I started sewing and made my Junior Homecoming dress, several ill-fitting cotton shift dresses (hey – fitting skills came later!), a quilt for my mom and many other things. I was hooked! I studied Home Economics in college and earned a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Clothing Construction. I have worked for Viking and Pfaff sewing machines, as an Alterations Manager for David’s Bridal, and currently sew from my home. My husband and I have been married for almost 12 years now! Before we had kids, I enjoyed making Star Wars costumes for us for Halloween and taking on a bridal party here and there. These days, my son is my BEST customer and I’ve enjoyed making him costumes and clothing as he cheers me on. I also have a little girl who enjoys blankets and is starting to figure out I can make her most anything she requests. I sell handmade items at www.JaimeSews.etsy.com and am also a Riley Blake Retailer over at www.JJsSupply.etsy.com, where I also carry some apparel fabrics and notions.
